About us
Founded earlier this year by the QualCare Foundation for Community Wellness Inc., the Kern County Senior Kicks Club is a resource for the local senior community to have healthy lifestyles and camaraderie among each other.
We believe that being active provides a healthier lifestyle. Healthy aging means to continually reinvent yourself and find activities you enjoy as you pass through the landmark ages of 60, 70 and 80.
Finding the right Balance
Coping with change is difficult, no matter how old you are. A particular challenge for adults over the age of 50 is the sheer number of changes and transitions that start to occur – children moving away, the loss of parents, friends, and other loved ones, changes to or the end of your career, declining health, and even loss of independence. You are not alone.
It’s natural to feel those losses but if that sense of loss is balanced with positive ingredients, you will have a formula for staying healthy as you age.
Let the Kern County Senior Kicks Club support you during this transition and help you stay active and healthy.

Myths about aging
For many, aging brings anxiety and fear: How will I take care of myself late in life? What if I lose my spouse? What could happen to my mind?
Many of these fears stem from myths about aging that are exaggerated or just simply untrue.
The truth is that you are stronger and more resilient than you may think.
